You may apply for a passport at the Sydney Consulate General by personally lodging the application from Monday to Friday, from 9am until 11:30am. All requests will be handled according to the Office working time and the staff available on the day.
The online booking system “Prenot@mi” is to be used for different consular services, NOT for PASSPORT
In order to have a new passport issued it is of importance that your consular file is up-to-date, (address, marital status, birth of children, marriages, divorces, etc.) according to the procedures illustrated in the sections of AIRE and CIVIL STATUS. Please note a consent form signed by the other parent is needed when applying for a passport for minors.
In case of discrepancies in the consular file, the issue of the passport is suspended until it has been updated.
If a passport is requested by a user who’s not registered in the AIRE (Anagrafe degli Italiani Residenti all’Estero – Register of Italians residing abroad), a NO IMPEDIMENT DECLARATION and AUTHORIZATION will be requested to the competent Authorities. Therefore, a longer time might be necessary for issuing the passport. In this cases we advise you to contact our offices in advance.
