This Consulate General can issue, Italian citizens registered in AIRE and residing in NSW, certificates of:
- Citizenship
- Family status (registration in the consular register individually or by family unit)
- Civile status
To receive the certificate, the applicant will need to:
- book an online appointment for CONSULAR SERVICES and present yourself with an identity document, or
- Send by post to one of these addresses
Present the following:
- the duly completed and signed form
- photocopy of the Italian identity document
- a money order with the amount provided for in the consular fee schedule
- a prepaid and pre-addressed envelope for sending the certificate
PLEASE NOTE: The Consulate General does NOT issue birth/marriage/death certificates.
These documents are issued by:
- Italian Municipality of birth/marriage/death in Italy for those born/married/deceased in Italy;
- by the competent Office for the Born/Married/Deceased Abroad;
- In NSW they must be applied to the Registry of Births, Deaths, and Marriages.
