{"id":632,"date":"2023-04-20T04:42:22","date_gmt":"2023-04-20T02:42:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/?page_id=632"},"modified":"2023-04-20T05:09:34","modified_gmt":"2023-04-20T03:09:34","slug":"pets","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/pets\/","title":{"rendered":"Pets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bringing domestic pets with you to Italy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Movement of Pets (Dogs, Cats and Ferrets)-New Pet Regulation, applicable from 29\/12\/2014 The new Pet Regulation and the amendment of the animal health requirements governing intra-Union trade in and imports into the Union of dogs, cats and ferrets were published on 26 June 2013 following the adoption by the European Parliament and the Council:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/IT\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX:32013R0576\">Regulation (EU) No 576\/2013<\/a>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/IT\/TXT\/?qid=1448336182483&amp;uri=CELEX:32013L0031\">Directive 2013\/31\/EU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the regulation, passengers may enter Italy with up to a\u00a0<strong>maximum of five pets<\/strong>\u00a0and all pets introduced in Italy from Australia,\u00a0<strong>must obtain an <a href=\"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Modulo-Certificato.pdf\">official veterinary certificate<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0issued by a certified veterinarian in the country of origin.
