{"id":3553,"date":"2025-04-07T16:42:14","date_gmt":"2025-04-07T06:42:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/?page_id=3553"},"modified":"2026-05-05T15:40:01","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T05:40:01","slug":"adults","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/passaporti-e-carte-didentita\/passports\/adults\/","title":{"rendered":"Adults"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Passport applications will be accepted <strong>ONLY from MONDAY to THURSDAY from 9am until 11:30am, BY APPOINTMENT\u00a0ONLY,\u00a0which must be booked through the <a href=\"https:\/\/prenotami.esteri.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prenot@mi <\/a>portal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Before coming to the Consulate General<\/strong>for the issue of the passport, it is of\u00a0<strong>importance that your consular file is up to date<\/strong>, (address, marital status, birth of children, marriages, divorces, etc.) according to the procedures illustrated on\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/anagrafe-degli-italiani-residenti-allestero-aire\/\">AIRE<\/a> <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/stato-civile\/register-divorce-decree\/\">CIVIL STATUS<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0the sections. <strong>In case of discrepancies in the consular file, the issue of the passport is suspended until it has been updated;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You will need to <strong>present your application in person<\/strong> with the following documentation<strong>:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/MODULO-PASSAPORTO-ADULTI.pdf\">application form for adults<\/a>;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>the expired\/expiring passport or, in the case of the issuance of the first Italian passport, the Italian identity card, driver&#8217;s license or the foreign passport (as long as the possession of Italian citizenship by the applicant is documented);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Australian visa: <\/strong>\u201cVisa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO)\u201d, alternatively a \u201cCertificate of evidence of resident status\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>For the application fee please refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/consular-fees\/\">Consular Fees<\/a> Payments can be made either via eftpos (debit card only) or in cash<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Subsequently, the acquisition of biometric data (fingerprints and photograph) and the signature of the applicant will take place, along with the printing of the booklet and <strong>SAME-DAY DELIVERY<\/strong> of the new passport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>THERE IS NO NEED TO BRING PHOTOGRAPHS<\/strong> for the passport, as they will be taken directly at the Consulate;<\/li>\n<li>it will not be possible to issue the passport on the same day in the presence of obstructing causes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Passport applications will be accepted ONLY from MONDAY to THURSDAY from 9am until 11:30am, BY APPOINTMENT\u00a0ONLY,\u00a0which must be booked through the Prenot@mi portal.
