{"id":3543,"date":"2025-04-07T16:58:17","date_gmt":"2025-04-07T06:58:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/?page_id=3543"},"modified":"2026-04-28T16:54:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T06:54:00","slug":"minors-12-to-17-years-of-age","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/passaporti-e-carte-didentita\/passports\/minors-12-to-17-years-of-age\/","title":{"rendered":"Minors 12 To 17 Years of Age"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>In order for the parents of the minor (or the guardians of parental authority) to request a passport on his\/her behalf, they must:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>have previously registered the birth of the child in Italy (for the procedure, please refer to the information in the <a href=\"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/stato-civile\/register-divorce-decree\/\">CIVIL STATUS<\/a> section);<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>both must be present <\/strong>at the Consulate<strong> WITH THE MINOR CHILD<\/strong>,<strong> with a valid passport (Italian and\/or foreign);<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>complete and sign the<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Passaporto-Domanda-rilascio-per-minori.pdf\">application form for minors<\/a>;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>to present the expired\/expiring passport of the minor or, in the case of issuing the first Italian passport, their Italian identity card, or their foreign passport;<\/li>\n<li>present the <strong>Australian residency visa <\/strong>(Visa Entitlement Verification Online &#8211; VEVO -) or the Australian naturalization certificate with the Australian passport;<\/li>\n<li><strong>THERE IS NO NEED TO BRING PHOTOGRAPHS<\/strong> for the passport, as they will be taken directly at the Consulate;<\/li>\n<li>For the application fee please refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/consular-fees\/\">Consular Fees<\/a> Payments can be made either via eftpos (debit card only) or in cash<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Subsequently, the acquisition of biometric data (fingerprints and photograph) and the signature of the applicant will take place, along with the printing of the booklet and <strong>SAME-DAY DELIVERY<\/strong> of the new passport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ATTENTION: In the absence of one of the parents, the accompanying parent must also present the <a href=\"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Atto-di-assenso_2024_06_24.pdf\">consent form<\/a> completed and signed by the absent parent according to the procedures indicated on the consent form itself.
