To register a birth that took place in a foreign country other than Australia, this Office must receive:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The registration form<\/a>;<\/li>\n
  2. The original birth certificate issued by the competent authority of the country where the birth occurred, legalized (where required) according to the procedures of the country of birth;<\/li>\n
  3. The Italian translation of the birth certificate by a professional translator, legalized\/certified in accordance with the procedures of the country of birth. Please note that the translation of the legalization is NOT required;<\/li>\n
  4. A photocopy of the Italian parent\u2019s Italian identity card or Italian passport and a photocopy of the foreign parent\u2019s passport (if the parents are not both Italian).<\/li>\n
  5. Evidence of one of the requirements established by the law converting Decree-Law No. 36\/2025<\/strong>:\n
