To register the birth of minor children born in Australia, this Office must receive:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The registration form<\/a>;<\/li>\n
  2. The original birth certificate, issued by the \u201cRegistry of Births, Deaths and Marriages<\/a>\u201c certified by an apostille (issued by the \u201cDepartment of Foreign Affairs and Trade<\/a>\u201d);<\/li>\n
  3. The translation into Italian of the birth certificate by an official NAATI<\/a> translator or done independently. If opting for an independent translation, please note that it must be fully accurate and conform to the original text. Should this Office find discrepancies compared to the English text or missing elements, all documentation will be returned to the applicant to be amended. Please note that the translation of the apostille is NOT required. The translation is NOT required to be certified by apostille.<\/li>\n
  4. A photocopy of parents\u2019 passport.<\/li>\n
  5. if <\/u>the parent (including adoptive) holds exclusively Italian citizenship at the time of the child\u2019s birth<\/u>:\n
