{"id":233,"date":"2023-01-18T19:54:15","date_gmt":"2023-01-18T08:54:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/italia-e-australia\/diplomazia-culturale\/lingua-e-cultura-italiana\/"},"modified":"2023-04-21T04:00:40","modified_gmt":"2023-04-21T02:00:40","slug":"lingua-e-cultura-italiana","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conssydney.esteri.it\/en\/italia-e-australia\/diplomazia-culturale\/lingua-e-cultura-italiana\/","title":{"rendered":"Italian language and culture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The spread of the Italian language and culture in the Australian States is mainly articulated according to three directives:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Organizations directly emanating from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or indirectly linked to it, also through the granting of financial contributions or the recognition of Italian language certification):<\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Italian Embassy in Canberra, with a specific Education and Culture Office<\/li>\n<li>Consulates of Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth;<\/li>\n<li>Italian Cultural Institutes of Sydney and Melbourne;<\/li>\n<li>University lecturers (University of Sydney, University of Melbourne, ANU in Canberra). Lecturers are recruited by MAECI and teach in the Italian Departments of Universities;<\/li>\n<li>Management bodies (Co.As.It) which, in agreement with the Departments of Education of the individual States, intervene to maintain\/expand the teaching of curricular or extra-curricular Italian with\n<ul>\n<li>Linguistic Assistant recruitment program<\/li>\n<li>Recruitment of Italian teachers<\/li>\n<li>Production of teaching materials<\/li>\n<li>Organization of teacher training courses<\/li>\n<li>Support for bilingual schools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">2.\u00a0Dante Alighieri Society, active throughout Australia with the promotion of cultural events and language courses at all levels for young people and adults;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">3.
